Abstract

InspireData is a software program by Inspiration Software, INC that provides educators with a new approach to viewing and evaluating data through its use of dynamic diagrams and plots. The software program is designed for users in grades 4 up to adult. This presentation will focus on the features of this software program and how it provides a new way of teaching and learning for K-12 students. We will share specific case study information on how this innovative program is being used by middle school students during a summer enrichment academy. Examples of usage by teachers and university faculty will also be discussed. Presenters will provide the audience with insight on future applications of the program and an example of an activity used to train the students and teachers.
