Abstract

One of the main difficulties in the online teaching-learning processes, is promote the interactions efficiently among the facilitator, the students, the students to each other and the study material. It's described and analyze the factors to stimulate the participation in the on-line teaching-learning process, the role that carries out the instructor, the student and the institution that it supports and it imparts this educational modality. It's stands out the role that plays the motivation and their importance to diminish the desertion in this modality. It's concluded that online teaching-learning process is quantitative and qualitatively different from the presencial one, and the educational model should promote the extrinsic and intrinsic motivation and the self-regulated learning.
