Abstract

Pre-service elementary mathematics teachers need romantic experiences with mathematics - opportunities to (re)discover the pleasure in mathematics and the beauty in mathematical thinking. In this paper we report on our research on pre-service elementary teachers' experiences in an online component of their teacher education that attempts to involve them romantically with mathematics. The online component consists of modules, online discussion, and an online methods textbook.
