Faculty who are adopting new instructional technologies and shifting to learner-centered instruction are engaging in a process of role transition that can be viewed as having three stages: separation, transition, and incorporation. Understanding this process can assist them as they progress through it. Also to assist them, the Teacherhub and Studenthub offer web-based instructional and learning-resource tools are that compatible with each stage of the adopting process.
