Abstract

The aim of this study is to assess the effects of the IT&MD course on pre-service teachers' attitude towards technology integration and effectiveness of teacher education in technology integration. 144 foreign language pre-service teachers, taking the “Instructional Technology and Material Development” (IT&MD) course at a public university in Turkey participated in this study. Adapted version of Attitude towards technology integration scale developed by Brush and his colleagues (2003) was administered as a pre and posttest. Data was analyzed with paired sample t-test. The results of this analysis showed statistically significant effects of IT & MD course on pre-service teachers’ attitude toward technology integration. Pre-service teachers built more positive attitude towards technology integration after experiencing this course.
