Abstract
In the past decades people have been in a searching towards more student-centered approaches in higher education. Ill-structured scenarios help people to solve the issue by complex thinking, and provide opportunities for novice teachers to encounter with more problem solving processes. In this study, the potential of asynchronous online forums were investigated as a means for supporting a face-to-face teacher education course by ill-structured scenarios. Students' perceptions were also investigated toward using ill-structured scenarios in asynchronous online environments. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews and forum transcripts, and analyzed using qualitative measures.
