Mobile Phone Course Applications Using jQuery Mobile

Abstract: This paper will discuss the use of free jQuery Mobile and Notepad++ software to create course related applications optimized for use on smart phones and other touch screen devices. Course related applications that will be discussed include syllabus and assignment display, course topic links, and the presentation of material that requires memorization such as vocabulary. Editing software and ways of organizing presentations will be described. Learning resources and networking opportunities available from the jQuery Mobile user community will be provided. Links to demonstration programs will be given.
