Abstract

Abstract: This study focused on a problem-solving learning environment (m-PSLE), where a multimedia design group project formed the core of the problem, mapped to the 7 pedagogical goals of Cunningham, Duffy & Knuth (1993), and embedded in an authentic e-learning platform. Students worked in groups and were given blog accounts to document their process and socially connect with their peers. The students were given a survey and their feedback was solicited. Results supported to the use of Cunningham et. al’s (1993) pedagogical suggestions for problem-solving, and Herrington, Reeves & Oliver’s (2010) suggestions for an authentic e-learning environment. These results will create opportunities for Malaysian educators to cultivate positive and effective learning environments in their classrooms and be a practical guide for other educators in technology-enhanced classrooms.
