Abstract

This paper gives an overview of the JPLANG e-learning system that we have developed and released, and describes the newly expanded speech recognition function. In addition, a verification experiment is conducted to determine whether speech recognition technology, which generally recognizes pronunciation by native speakers, can correctly recognize the pronunciation of learners, especially beginner level learners. In the verification, we extracted recording test files from a total of 105 people in their first and second months of learning that were conducted in the past as Japanese language learning using JPLANG-applied Google speech recognition, and evaluated the results.
