Abstract

The study discusses the evolvement of an Instructional Systems Design (ISD) model as it was evaluated and progressively refined after consecutive iterations. The proposed ISD model can be used in technology courses or method courses to develop teachers' ICT-related pedagogical content knowledge (PCK), which is that body of knowledge that is essential for teachers to be able to teach with ICT. The results showed that the evolved model was effective in developing certain aspects of ICT-related PCK and that systematic efforts are needed to engage teachers in technology-rich design activities so that they develop adequately all aspects of ICT-related PCK.
