Abstract

At the University of NC in Asheville, we developed a program to deliver technology training to teachers in local schools. During the Fall 2002 semester, we provided 20 hours of technology training to 27 participants at Fletcher Elementary School in Henderson County, NC. The emphasis of the project was in using classroom web sites to help teachers integrate technology into their curriculum. The conclusions from this project indicate that teachers can effectively use classroom web pages for instruction, but they need training at their school on a regular basis with enough support to make it all work.
