Abstract

This paper presentation will focus on a successful model of inservice training for teachers. The model, used by a multi-school five year US DOE Challenge Grant includes five day and three day training sessions in the summer, followed by a 2 day retreat in the winter, as well as on-site inservice training and on-site coaching by both educators and technologists. The focus of the grant is to improve teaching, with a goal to engage the learner in the classroom. The training includes technology integration, lesson design, and brain research.
