Abstract: We report on the recent activities of PRISM, an electronic hub to support integration of digital resources into K – 12th-grade STEM classrooms for Indiana teachers. Specifically, this presentation gives a description and an assessment of the efficacy of integrating a learning management system (Moodle) into a range of K – 12th grade content courses. We examine the results of two surveys of the user community, one from 2008 and the other from 2015. The survey consists of 26 items, six focused on usage patterns and instructor characteristics (independent variables), and the remaining twenty were self-report statements (dependent variables). The respondents answered the dependent variable items on a standard 5-part Likert scale. These statements measured our users’ assessment of Moodle’s efficacy on four dimensions: (1) Return on Investment, (2) Fostering Authentic Assessment, (3) Enhancing 21st Century Skills, and (4) Providing Active Learning / Inquiry-based Pedagogy.
