Abstract

Instructional design in an e-Learning environment can foster the alliance between technology and instruction to transform the academic environment. This interactive presentation addresses the different forms or models used to develop an instructional model for online teaching at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Our instructional model incorporates interactive learning styles that use various forms of technology and teaching strategies to enable active student engagement with each other, content, instructor or software. We use Blackboard Course Management System that helps to facilitate interactive learning through a course design that allows students to access information from various sources, interact, apply knowledge and otherwise engage in learning activities through collaboration, discovery and engagement.
