Abstract

Innovations in information technologies are influencing both our lifes and our working areas. Transformations experienced during the advent of technology led us to redefine professional competencies. To achieve sustainability in terms of professional competencies, especially in the realm of Information and Reocrds Management, domain experts should closely follow the developments in communication technologies. In order to ensure this competency level, it is thought that first of all major area courses should support the students and motivate them for self development. This study was conducted with 64 students in the department of Information and Records Management in Çankırı Karatekin University. Students who took part in the research selected the course named as Information and Communication Technologies in the spring term of 2013-2014 academic year.
