Abstract

Our panel will discuss the possibilities and realities of introducing the methods, techniques and tools of instructional design into online teacher education courses. The use of instructional design methodology in course design assists with organizing and clearly delivering content to the learner, but other components should be added to create engagement. The panelists will discuss several examples of teacher training courses that incorporated engagement strategies with instructional design approaches.
