Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this Poster/Demonstration is to demonstrate several technology based components developed to enhance regular mathematics instruction and to provide learning support for core courses in College Algebra, Precalculus and Mathematics Using Technology. In particular, we will demonstrate (1) the use of a tele-tutorials for College Algebra; (2) web-based tutorial for College Algebra and Precalculus courses to accompany tele-tutorials; (3) a multimedia interactive software for College Algebra and Trigonometry; and (4) simulations exercises for learning mathematics concepts in geometry, algebra, trigonometry, calculus and linear algebra using mathematical software such as Maple 8, Cabri Geometry and Geometer's Sketchpad. Some of these materials were developed under the mini-grants provided by the grant "Preparing Tomorrows Teachers to Use Technology (PT3)", at Albany State University, in Albany, Georgia.
