Abstract
This paper reports on the implementation and evaluation phase of design based research on a six module miniMOOC on Quality Graduate Supervision Design Based Research was used to analyze the problem, develop the solution, implement and evaluate local and broader impact, and to reflect on this faculty development learning opportunity The Quality Graduate Supervision miniMOOC was offered as a closed pilot in a Canadian university over six weeks to support faculty members and post-doctoral scholars who were both new and experienced graduate supervisors to expand, to learn about and to develop their graduate supervision practices in a community of learners This paper reports on the implementation of the miniMOOC and summarizes preliminary findings about scaffolding faculty learning, the impacts of this online learning opportunity on supervisor’s practices, and offers several recommendations for ongoing development of the QGS miniMOOC
