Abstract

Abstract Online teaching is a recent phenomenon in online learning. The online teaching community is still trying to define online instructors’ teaching roles since online best practices differ from those of the traditional classroom teacher. In research studies on instructors’ perceptions of teaching online, online instructors indicated a need for developing a set of best practices for online teaching. In this presentation, a comprehensive set of online mathematics classroom best practices strategies are addressed. Implications of the use of a new set of best practices in all online classrooms are discussed as well as future topics for research.
