This study analyzes the Digital Textbook project for the last 5 years and provides guidelines on the plan for nationwide Digital Textbook deployment in Korea. Digital Textbook provides various interaction functions with students to study anytime, anywhere and it also contains existing textbooks, reference books and various other resources. Its effectiveness has been studied at the pilot schools for 5 years and it will be used every elementary and middle schools in Korea by 2015. The status and implications of Digital Textbook project as well as guideline for the nationwide deployment are shown in the paper.
