Abstract

In this roundtable, the author and participants will discuss the successes and pitfalls of a using a class set of Apple iPads within a preservice secondary social studies methods course. Successes and pitfalls will be presented, with the goal of sharing ideas among teacher on how best to utilize mobile devices on pragmatic, logistical, and theoretical levels, and also serve as a forum to collaborate on a large-scale research study.
