Abstract

This presentation will discuss and reflect upon the recent educational changes the country of Ireland, through Educate Together, is undertaking in order to better prepare their students for the 21st century workforce. As part of this presentation, we will discuss Educate Together’s goals and objectives as well as reflect upon what they are doing to make their students ready for the competitive global work force. Twenty-first century technology skills coupled with curriculum integration will be highlighted. Lastly, this presentation will examine the parallels between the US and Irish school systems and what the US needs to do in order to keep up in the educational global scale.
