Abstract

The purpose of our session is to provide attendees with a detailed understanding of the opportunities and challenges that accompany the development, implementation, and evaluation of online, blended, and technology enhanced instruction in four settings within the K-20 continuum: (1) within a community college setting with a broad and diverse rural service area; (2) within a research 1 university setting serving a geographically diverse group of educational professionals via a program of graduate study; (3) within a statewide virtual K-12 school setting; and (4) within a physical, on-site K-12 school setting. Using the aforementioned data sites as case studies, we will pay particular attention to the key issues about which leaders should be aware when designing instructional strategies for their e-learning programs.
