Abstract

While many of today’s college students have a high rate of digital literacy, the use of digital media and/or podcasting is relatively new in teacher education, particularly when used as a vehicle for students to express their understandings and as a teaching tool. This study chronicles the collaboration between faculty in instructional technology and early childhood education programs as well as the implementation of digital media applications in one of the first courses in a two-year teacher education program at a four-year university.
