Abstract
In this study, ee proposed a note-taking strategy and teaching method for them focused on arranging concepts. "Note-taking" was defined as "to read, extract, arrange, relate, and externalize important concepts from the course content including the description in textbooks and/or on a blackboard." In this teaching method, learning activities consist of "individual session" and "collaborative session with the concept mapping software - Undo-Kun" to decrease students' cognitive load because the strategy needs heavy load for some students. The teaching method was practiced in junior high school. Then it evaluated by a test to measure understanding degree of students and by a questionnaire to measure effectiveness of note-taking strategy. As a result of the evaluation, collaborative session proved to be effective and note-taking strategy tuned out to be useful.
