Abstract: The Multimedia Services group at the University of Washington School of Law replaced an aging VHS-based video service with a new, if not slightly unconventional, system of recording and broadcasting courses. This paper covers the process of developing this solution, challenges faced while building it, and afterthoughts about its success, sustainability and scalability. Included at the end of this paper is a detailed list of the hardware and software used as well as sources on where to find them yourself.
