Abstract

This poster session will describe a Virtual Field Trip (VFT) project that allows preservice teachers and public school children to experience nationally acclaimed museums via videoconferencing. We will describe the pedagogical and technical strategies that were applied to bring museum resources into the classroom. We will share lessons learned, future plans and consider the VFT as a model of effective utilization of technology for preservice teachers to view children and teachers in their actual classrooms.
