Abstract

Learning technologies have changed traditional teaching methods considerably and allowed greater understanding of learning materials due to continued innovations and development in mobile technologies. Students can use any mobile devices, to access teaching and learning materials at anytime and anywhere (Kukulska-Hulme & Traxler, 2005). However the success with the use of podcasts is dependent on the acceptability of the technology by the students during their learning. Therefore, the aim of this study was to show that students prefer using podcasts on mobile technology in preparing in the proposal writing module. During the study, students were given a choice of using paper based study guides, online classrooms or access podcast through the IONO website channel 1319. Results showed that students preferred to access the module using mobile devices than with the other provided methods.
