DMIE: a learning object to design Digital Musical Instruments for Education. PROCEEDING

This study introduces a learning object (LO) developed by an interdisciplinary team aimed at the construction of educational digital musical instruments (DMIs) for adolescent audiences. The main purpose of this object is to be an educational theoretical support at courses or workshop dedicated to design this type of instrument. The methodological procedures are based on the Construmed methodology, which addresses the construction of educational materials based on the Pedagogical Design. It consists of five stages (1) Preparation, (2) Planning, (3) Implementation, (4) Evaluation, and (5) Distribution. The object DMIE was applied and validated as a case study in a 9th grade class with 27 adolescent students on Basic Education in Brazil during the second semester of 2015. The results of this application are presented as well as the final consideration.
