Abstract: In this paper we explore the process of improving e-folios with just-in-time instruction and the impact of a working portfolio on teacher candidates. Two issues are considered: (1) What are the optimum conditions for portfolio creation? (2) What is the perceived impact of e-folios on teacher candidates? Data were collected from multiple sources: participants' end-term reflections, individual feedback interviews, and instructor analysis of student e-folios. Qualitative analysis was done to determine identify themes in student end-term reflections.
