Abstract

Abstract: A unique online environment has been developed that can easily serve the needs of online groups (e.g. structured groups including classes and professional organizations, or unstructured groups meeting online), by fostering a sense of community. This environment has many features not unlike commercially available online class management tools. Community-course Action-interaction Management System (CAMS), however, also has many additional many built-in features designed to foster a sense of community and empower the participant. This interactive session will highlight how CAMS allows community to be developed within an online group.
