Abstract
To provide distance education teacher preparation students in a large Western state with opportunities to engage in simulated activities similar to those conducted in the campus-based program, a multi-user virtual environment called TeacherSim was developed through a U.S. Department of Education grant. This presentation will focus on TeacherSim’s move from a grant supported platform to a sustainable technology within the distance education program. Teacher educators who use MUVEs in their programs are encouraged to attend and share their experiences.
