Abstract

A web site was developed to show anatomy, muscle and ligament tests for the knee. An expert panel was used to test the validity of the site. Usability was determined by a group of 20 student athletic trainers.

Results from the student questionnaires indicated that students thought the demonstrations and audio in the videos, the text, and the illustrations were helpful tools for learning the anatomy and muscle and ligament tests of the knee. The students also stated that they would recommend this web site to other athletic training students.

Results from the expert panel questionnaire indicated that (a) the muscle and ligament tests on the videos were performed correctly, (b) the text explaining how to perform the muscle and ligament tests was accurate, (c) the resolution on the videos was appropriate for viewing the videos, and (d) the web site was easy to navigate.
