Abstract

The Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations Extension in Rochester, New York (from here forward will be referred to as ILR School) has experienced low enrollment. There are several speculations as to why this is, however, after an in depth review of the program, the resources are insufficient and the urgency of introducing improvements has prevented new growth. The initiative was to assist the school in implementing a corrective action plan to increase enrollment in their online education programs. I worked directly with Linda Donahue, Associate Director of the ILR School and Alice Torres, Office Assistant. A SWOT analysis was completed. A data base was created with a listing of the Unions throughout the Country and contact was made with each of them via the internet. Other online education programs were researched to create benchmarks. There are several opportunities for improvement that will be explored throughout the project summary.
