Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design SMART Teaching and Learning that strengthens computational thinking ability of the gifted information technology students based on the SMART education propelled by the government with regards to the development of wireless network and smart devices. SMART education provides educational environments that transcends space and time with development of information technology, and also allows the students to conduct independent self-learning based on the wide variety of learning materials on the internet. Webpages and mobile access systems have been established for the ease of students, and video lectures and SMS and phone services for real time question and answer sessions are provided so that the purpose of SMART education is achieved. In addition, teaching and learning strategies were implemented for enforced learning effects, and evaluation system was established so that the students can give individual feedbacks as well as improving the teachin
