Abstract

This paper brings forward the realization of a learning environment that involves mobile technologies integrated with stationary technologies. The paper make a distinction between information and communication driven perspectives of system uses, bringing forward a perspective where private and public dimensions of everyday practice play an important role that learning environments needs to support. The implications that this research will put forward is that, in order to obtain flexible learning environments, we need to recruit new design models. One solution that presents the shifts and turns among student's uses of information technology is the MOVE system, which brings forward a number of challenges for educational technologies.
