Abstract

This paper reports on the second year of an on-going inservice teacher training project. The purpose of this project is to raise student achievement in mathematics, science, reading, and writing through increased instructional use of technology. Participating teachers receive extensive in-service technology training, on-site support from technology experts, and access to multimedia hardware and software. Each year, participating teachers create instructional units incorporating technology into the curriculum. The present report summarizes the criteria and procedures used in examining the teachercreated units for cultural awareness and discloses preliminary findings.
