Until only a few decades ago social networks were mainly generated by physical proximity and personal contact; these are now being adapted and expanded within the “new world” of the internet. The existence of culturally cohesive regions concentrating around various geographical points around the world is producing the same physical relationships but, however demand new integration tools for these communities located at different geographical points. This paper introduces a collaboration-participation tool based on the Web as well as on the creation of spontaneous networks, enabling the integration of different Ibero-American communities on a virtual level. Integration within this society takes place not as individuals, but as entities. The project was originally conceived with the objective of developing and improving the communication and integration between rural areas where the different study centres of the Autonomous University of Nicaragua (UNAN León) are located; this then being applicable to other zones and Ibero-American countries.
