Abstract

The authors of this presentation teach a totally online course in Web design and maintenance for teachers. The presentation will present aids and cautions in teaching such a course. Problems discussed will be whether or not to emphasize markup or text editors, and how to keep the focus on educational issues while teaching markup. Attendees will be given the URL and password to all course pages including all 16 weeks of lectures, as well as a list of Websites and their URLs of use in keeping the emphasis on educational issues. The issue of what markup to teach will also be addressed.
