Abstract

This session will describe an innovation to offer 10 talented and gifted endorsement courses fully online to reveal key findings for educators with similar goals for G/T course development, as well as support for those evaluating their options to teach or learn online. The session will highlight 10 tips describing quality instructional design, effective pedagogy, building e-community, web based resources, and quality assurance for creating online courses for the endorsement in K-12 TAG, a teacher shortage area in our state. We offer one of the only online G/T programs in the Midwest. Therefore, this session will help educators interested in organizing online courses who need critical experiential knowledge to develop gifted education content, evaluate online course construction, and provide quality assessment and interaction.
