Abstract

Mobile apps are becoming the main tool/technology to handle, manage and organize information on a mobile device. During this roundtable we attempt to describe a method/approach on how to introduce mobile app design and development in primary school. We demonstrate how easy these tools are, and how it can help students to design, develop and deploy their own mobile app. Students who use the tools may develop understanding of how to integrate mobile applications into their allocated school projects and tasks, hence enhancing their understanding of the effective use of mobile technologies and applications. We will show an example (a mobile app), which was designed and developed by a 4th grader to complete a school project allocated by the student’s teacher.
