Abstract

Recently, there has been considerable interest in the development and uses of cases for professional development in teaching to help preservice teachers see the complexities of teaching. The purpose of this paper is to introduce teacher educators and practicing teachers to the complexities of teaching reading instruction and to introduce the Reading Classroom Explorer (RCE). RCE is a video-based hypermedia environment that showcases teachers meeting the literacy needs of diverse students.
