Abstract

With programs in music technology now located throughout the country, the role of using music technology in higher education has become a controversial issue. The literature shows different opinions on integrating technology into the curriculum. In this study, the researcher explored these issues through qualitative interviews and observations with teachers and their students. Participant attitudes on using technology for students of different music backgrounds and programs and how music technology can affect the learning aptitude and chances of employability for students is included in this study. Although this study was conducted in Taiwan, the results are a basis for examining the future development of the international music industry.
