Abstract

This symposium features presentations led by SITE Vice Presidents (VPs) from the disciplines of Science, Math, Social Studies, English and Early Childhood. The focus is on key research questions for information technology in the core disciplines. During the first hour, VPs from four content areas will present research agendas for information technology that have been endorsed by each discipline's teacher education association. During the second hour, a presentation from Early Childhood will extend to Pre-K traditional content area topics from the first hour. A scholar from the field of information technology and teacher education will serve as discussant for the papers and solicit feedback from symposium participants regarding next steps. The session will be moderated by the SITE Vice President and Associate Vice-President for Research and Evaluation.
