Abstract
This roundtable is designed to share and demonstrate the potential of multimedia technologies to prepare teachers and students for historical inquiry. The multimedia historical inquiry tutorial leverages current research on historical thinking and multimedia design with the characteristics of the Internet into an educational application that prepares teachers and students to use technology as a tool for teaching and learning historical inquiry. The project is designed to provide teachers and students with multimedia scaffolds to support the teaching and learning of historical inquiry in today's 21st century classroom.
